The Crypt
Manufactured by Huss Top Spin and weighing in at about 80 tons, The Crypt stands at nearly 60 feet and can accommodate 760 guests each hour. Designers spent nine months planning the multi-million-dollar attraction and nearly nine more constructing it—producing one of the most elaborately themed rides in the world, sequenced with special effects and music that heighten the emotional experience.
Begin in the heart of the jungle as you pass mysterious ruins and the debris of failed expeditions. Feel the sense of impending doom as you discover an ancient mechnical artifact. Then, strap aboard the massive stone and steel altar. In seconds, you’ll toss through the air 60 feet above the ground to the thundering sound of tribal drums. Dangle head first over a pit of flames. With nothing below you but the ground, and nothing above you but the sky, you’ll flip through the air, suspended over steam, flames, and water geysers. By the time it’s all over, you’ll have survived five inversions—all while diving toward the earth and then flying upward again to the six-story top of the ride. It’s a journey of epic dimensions!
